Sifu Bob Rosen has been instructing in the martial arts since 1972 and is the chief instructor of the Wah Lum Association. He is the first American instructor to operate a school in Boston's Chinatown and has been a 7th generation student of Grandmaster Chan Pui since 1976. In 1979, Sifu Rosen became certified as a Wah Lum instructor and moved to Florida to promote the Wah Lum system in the south and participate in the building of the Wah Lum Temple in Orlando. He returned to Boston in 1984 to re-establish Wah Lum's New England headquarters. Sifu Rosen first traveled to China in 1986 for a demonstration and training tour, and witnessed Grandmaster Chan's Shaolin disciple ceremony. |

In 1989, on his second trip to China, he was a member of the first non-Asian group to study Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple. He has returned to China several times since. In addition to establishing himself as a traditional instructor in the Wah Lum system, Sifu Rosen studied the arts of Iron Palm, Lion Dancing, and Chen Style Tai Chi from Grandmaster Chan and other formidable instructors associated with the Wah Lum system. |
